The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary scientific association “International Union for Interdisciplinarity and Transdisciplinarity in Complex Systems” – I.U.I.T.C.S. is at the forefront of embracing and advancing the principles of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity, recognizing their indispensable role in addressing the complex challenges of the 21st century.
I.U.I.T.C.S. is a central and legally established headquarters in Belgium and has operational centers in Romania (Bucharest and Sinaia) and Spain (Alicante).
By fostering a culture of “cross-fertilization” across epistemological boundaries, we aim to redefine and integrate diverse concepts, logics, and methodologies from across scientific research and humanistic disciplines. Our approach emphasizes transversality and scientific rigor, leveraging innovative methods and specialized software to minimize redundancies and enhance the coherence of complex systems research. In doing so, we champion the creation of new, egalitarian disciplines that demand fresh professional competencies, embodying a holistic and integrated pursuit of knowledge that places no single discipline above another. Our mission is to lead by example in the collaborative, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary exploration of knowledge, setting new standards for intellectual advancement and problem-solving in the modern era.
Modern Interdisciplinarity
“I.U.I.T.C.S. “was found to promote modern interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary knowledge, having as its general background constructive/creative intelligence (including in communication) and intelligibility, intellectual erudition, decency (dialogical and procedural), honesty and objectivity.
